A Mosaic Masterclass
Art Reach joined the Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale (DCAB) in April 2024, hosting a 4-day masterclass in mosaic art making.
Taking inspiration from the Najdi heritage of Riyadh, students were introduced to concepts of color, pattern and design. Using an indirect, paper-face technique, work was done in a relaxed and welcoming studio setting.
Following the workshop participants were invited to help with installing their mosaic artworks to a set of large planters. The stunning mosaic planters add much needed color to the street in front of the Saudi Museum of Contemporary Art (SAMOCA), JAX District, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
