A unique garden for a children's clinic
The Psychiatric Hospital, Manama

In 2018-2019, Art Reach partnered with VIVA Bahrain in a community art initiative to redesign and refurbish the children's garden in the Psychiatric Hospital, Manama. Under the guidance of Art Reach members, volunteers were invited to a series of mosaic workshops to create artwork for the garden and playground. Approximately 40 sqm of mosaic artwork was installed in the children's garden, giving hospital staff and their patients a special and safe place to meet, play and eat outdoors. The new garden and playground were officially opened by H.E. Minister of Health, Miss Faeqa bint Saeed Al Saleh, and other distinguished guests in May 2019.

A mosaic spiral maze installation
Al Fatih Corniche, Manama.

Thanks to support from multiple partners and creative individuals, a spiral maze design that began in 2015, was approved by the Capital Municipality for Al Fatih Corniche in Manama. Art Reach installed artwork for the maze in May 2018 adding approximately 140 panels of mosaic art created by volunteers over a 3-year period. We are grateful to our corporate and government sponsors: Al Moayyed Contracting Group (for construction works), Al Hilal Stonework (for tiling), the National Initiative for Agricultural Development (for ongoing support), and Harbour Gate (for our studio space).

In May 2023, Mr. Craine inaugurated Art Reach's mosaic exhibition, Oasis in the Desert. Contributing artists were in attendance (pictured here).
