World Creativity & Innovation Week (WCIW) April 15-21, 2021

We joined WCIW for their 20th anniversary and participated in a global virtual celebration that encourages creativity, ingenuity and problem-solving to effect social change for the 2030 Global Goals.

Art Reach announced plans to start a second mosaic intervention in the Psychiatric Hospital, Manama; and hosted 2 introductory mosaic workshops for new volunteers.

A painted mural for BMI

In 2019, Art Reach designed a mural for Bahrain Mobility International's sports hall which also serves as an events space. Inspired by Para-athletes our members collaborated with artist Seana Mallen and invited the center's pre-school children to try their hand at painting one day. Sponsorship for this initiative was provided by the Yousif & Aysha Almoayyed Charity.

Building Bridges Film Festival

In October 2017, Art Reach partnered with the Building Bridges Film Festival and Artology Bahrain to host art workshops inspired by the film, Saving Banksy.

A special program of events combining street art, film screenings and post-film discussions were carefully designed to educate and engage high school students. Workshops took place in our studio in Harbour Gate and the artwork created was then exhibited in multiple venues: the Cultural Hall, BIC and BFH. Go to: Building Bridges Film Festival for more information about this charity film festival that fundraises for refugee programs in Greece.

Creations by our members.

In preparing for our community art workshops, Art Reach members meet to plan and test designs or methods in the creative process. Sometimes this provides opportunities for our artists to work independently or as a group to create fabulous works of art! Their

artistic creations have been exhibited at public events and sold by the artists to interested buyers. If you would like to commission a mosaic piece, we can put you in touch with the artists.

Private commissions fall outside Art Reach's community service initiative, and are an arrangement between artist and client.
